The First Punksters.net Comic Strip Has Been Posted - Blog Entry # 4

The Punksters.net website now has its first comic strip up. It will be a weekly strip for now. I figure that one strip a week should not be too hard for me to do from a scheduling standpoint.

The first strip introduces only one of the characters, Bang, but the rest will be introduced in the next strip. I can promise you that because I have already completed that one.

If any of you want to learn more about the characters that will be featured in the comic strip, you can go to the Meet the Characters Page of the Punksters.net website. it has all of the characters that have been created up to this point in time.

The official first day of the Punksters.net comic strip is January 25th 2015. Hopefully that will eventually be considered a great day in comic strip history. Hopefully, it will attract a following over time. That's why at the bottom of each strip, I have included the web address for those who may want to view more. Unfortunately, at this point in time, there are not many there yet due to the fact that I just started it. But, in the meantime, I do have some things like downloadable desktop wallpapers. There are ten of those right now and more will be added in the future. Some will feature certain moments or scenes from the strip.

I look forward to engaging with people and hearing suggestions and ideas regarding the strip. I think it has the potential to be a lot of fun. I hope others would agree. You may also feel free to stop by this blog from time to time to read about the updates. I not only intend to do a weekly comic strip but also at least one blog post a week as well.

The website has an RSS feed for this blog on the main page, so you don't necessarily have to stop here first to read about the latest updates.

I intend to release each new strip on each Sunday. I might do a new blog post each Wednesday. That way I can have something of interest added at least two days each week.

The Punksters.net Website Now Has Some Merchandise - Blog Entry # 3

The Punksters.net website now has some merchandise available featuring pictures of the loveable Punkster characters.

We have added T-shirts, mugs, posters, wall clocks and hats. The image to the left is one of the T-shirts available on the site.

We hope to add more merchandise to the site over time but right now we have 6 different T-shirts, 4 different hats, 4 different mugs, 4 different posters and 4 different wall clocks.

Free Desktop Wallpapers are Now Available on the Site - Blog Entry # 2

Punksters.net now has some free downloadable desktop wallpapers. Each image comes in a choice of 7 different resolutions so that you can download the one that works best for your computer's resolution.

Right now you have 8 different images to choose from but more will be added over time. We intend to have at least ten regular ones, some holiday ones and some seasonal ones available eventually. they will all be added over time.

It is actually a lot of work because, for each image, I am doing 7 different resolutions, plus a thumbnail, plus a sample of the image for each of them on their individual download page and one for the sale as an art print. So with 8 wallpapers, that comes to a total of 80 images. Most of this was done in under two weeks. This is all while I am setting up the website and the merchandise. So it keeps me busy.

We are also working on merchandise and we will add downloadable PDF posters that you can print out. Then, we will start on the comic strip. So check in every now and then to see what's new! Welcome To The Punksters.net Blog - Blog Entry # 1

 

Welcome to the Punksters.net blog. We plan on doing a comic strip featuring the characters above. From left to right, the members of the band are Bing the drummer, Bang the guitarist, Crash the singer and Boom the bass guitarist. That's Bing, Bang, Crash and Boom. They may look rather tame in this promo pic but they are a destructive force to be reckoned with.

What we also plan on doing is taking a different approach to developing the comic strip. We plan on taking some input from people on the Internet and incorporating their ideas into the strip. But first we plan on introducing the characters and laying out the basic premise.
